Rules Team Meeting Minutes - 4/19/06

Attendees -- Mobetter, AkaGP, Christian, Loco, Clewless (CBayracer emailed her inputs prior to the meeting -- thanks!)

Items discussed:

1. Crew weigh-in attire :- adopted "swimwear" instead of "underwear" per ISAF wording...we've all been in those situations -- hard to erase the visuals....
2. Rudder blade:- changed from painting "not allowed" to "allowed"
3. Since kelp-cutter is now standard -- wording changes from optional to standard/mandatory
4. Wording relating to sprit deployment needs refined -- Mo to do some research during the J24 Nats
5. Annual sail purchase limits -- add "calender year" to definition
6. Sail purchase limits --change to 3 plus 3 oem (first year only), 2, 3, 2........so on. No sail type limit.
7. Storm jibs excluded from limit, sail tag not required but dimensions must be marked -- need to wait for %LP definition
8. Discussion on group purchase of sails -- team to investigate the options and report back in 2 weeks with some proposals.

All in all, a very constructive session..... unlike elsewhere on the forum
