Engine

The engine well is designed to host a 9.8 HP Tohatsu. The first boats have installed model MFS9.8A3EPL (long shaft) with remote control and electric starter.

Length of the control cable is 14 and 15 feet. Tohatsu uses the standard cable with 10-32 ends. West Marine lists several choices (see pages 308-309 in the 2006 catalog):

Teleflex TFXtreme (14' 1165489 73.99; 15' 1165513 75.99)

Since the cable is mostly all inside the boat the cheap ones should work fine.
